crochet rug

I crocheted my first rug.  I LOVE it.  It's so pretty!!!  I can guarantee this is not the last rug I will be making.

headbands

This past week I have been on a headband kick. For some reason I have been wearing my hair up everyday. Now I have never been a girl to wear her hair down but am a ponytail girl. With my hair like this and my pearls on I look like I could still be in the Air Force. After I got out of the Air Force I never wore my hair all the way up for a long time just in ponytails...I wanted to be sure everyone knew I was a civilian. But now I am back to the hair up and like the way it looks with a headband. So this week I crocheted a bunch of them. There are still a few colors I want to make. Also this week I have craving good workouts. I RAN 3 MILES!!!!...I had not done that since I left Georgia. Plus I have a neighbor who likes to walk so we go walk 6 or 7 miles some days. I really want to keep up my running. It's hard! I LOVE to be sore! AND I am a looser of 14 pounds with lots to go but I'll take it.

Oh yea it's been a productive week...under my headbands you can see a quilt I am working on...it's a zig zag pattern.

Crocheted Farm House Washcloths

Now I don't know what farm house washcloths really look like but I crocheted these rectangular stripped cloths for something new and springy in my kitchen and to me they feel farm house style. They are so pretty.

Moving on...

What is it? ADD? When you can't sit still. Well whatever, I have it. As soon as I finished my first afghan, that day I had to find a new pattern and start another. I have 14 squares done and a million to go. I definitly have something...everyday I wake up so excited to decorate and organize my house, cook a good dinner, have fun with my kids, exercise, make some sort of craft...I LOVE everything!!! I am really lovin' the shabbiness of these blocks.

My First Afghan...

Finally it's done...my first afghan. I have been crocheting this since Thanksgiving. Boy is it a lot of work! It's big, close to a single bed size but not quite. It's heavy. It's cream with a dark plum in colors. I am in love with it. I just finished it this morning but already to start another...hmm, what colors/pattern?

crocheted IPhone cover

I have been sitting here enjoying the night with my family. We had a delicious Korean dinner-bulgogi, broccoli and egg rolls. We are all sitting here in the family room watching the 49's/Giants. Since we now live in California we are rooting for the 49's...but will be okay if it's the Giants who win...we LOVE NYC. While sitting here this evening I crocheted myself this pretty iPhone cover. Check out my ruffly edge!!

OOOOO the game is in overtime!
