Little League World Series And Cousins

For years now Madi's favorite Wii game has been Little League World Series. We have always gone to the Georgia games. But now down in Warner Robbins is Southeast World Series stadium. So you know this family had to go get a glimpse while we were down in Georgia. One summer we want to get to Willamsport to watch but for now this was GREAT!

We watched Georgia (Warner Robbins this year) play Tennessee...Georgia won because they are in Williamsport now. See Ben and Madi down on the front row.

Steve's family all gathered for a fun night out at dinner. Nana, all the cousins and Great Grandma.

These cousins are the best of friends. They have so much fun together. We are going to miss living close to them.

Madi loves the girl cousins but she wants to marry her cousin Hunter. Hunter took the kids for a ride around the block in his car. Madi always tells her friends about her cousin Hunter and how cute he is...did you know he is cuter then Troy from High School Musical?

Easter weekend

Teresa, Steve's mom, came and picked up Ben and Madi and off they went for a weekend of fun. I can only imagine how much giggling and fun went on. Ben and Madi LOVE hanging out with their cousins...it's their favorite thing to do.
Steve and I sure enjoyed a weekend together. Saturday night we went to the Italian Oven for dinner and then did a little shopping before rushing home to watch the Final Four.
Thank you Teresa!!!

On Sunday Steve and I met up with everyone to celebrate Easter with lots of food and everyone playing outside. Even Great Grandma Marcella got out with her new white shoes on and played baseball. Alicia had gotten a badminton set and that was a hit! What a perfect Easter weekend.

the reason my kids don't want to move...

...family...their cousins!!! We have never been stationed so close to family before...Teresa lives in Savannah about 250 miles from Atlanta but she drives it all the time. Nana, Great Grandma, Deedee and Haley came for a visit. Today was the last game this basketball season and Nana really wanted to see one.

Madi's game....stunk. It was so bad that when it was her turn to sit out she wasn't even interested in watching her team...she turned to watch another.

Look at Great Grandma in those new kind of Sketchers with jeans on. I think she is the most fun Great Grandma.

There is Ben #34. We are sad the season is over.

Deedee is such a sweet and playful young lady. She had all three of the younger kids on her back. The kids had a ball playing together. After the games we went out to Mellow Mushroom for dinner and then I went and did some spring shopping. I needed a nice relaxing day.

Family and Friends

For the last 8 weekends we have either had family or friends to come visit us. This has been so nice for us...when Steve is deployed, weekends can drag on and on. Thank you to all of you. This weekend we went to Macon for Haley's birthday party at the skating rink.

Steve's mom got out and showed her stuff on some skates. There she is wearing her souvenir from the Foreigner concert she went to.
Ben and his big cousin Hunter.

Teresa came to stay with us too. She helped get our backyard cleaned up and the kids really enjoyed burning the leaves. Teresa also helped me learn how to crochet. I did crochet as a kid but had forgotten...Thank you Teresa!!!

Baby Deedee

This past weekend my sister-in-law and 2 of her kids came for a visit again. This time our goal was to make Deedee 13, a Halloween costume...she wanted to be a baby. She is going to wear a t-shirt underneath this but 5 yards of white fabric later it turned out PERFECT!!! She looks so cute.

Southern Belle Farm

This past weekend we had a house full of visitors. My mother-in-law, sister-in-law and kids, Steve's cousin Matt and my mother-in-laws sister...Steve's Aunt Ramona all came to visit us. It was a party at our house! On Saturday we went to the great Southern Belle Farm for some fall fun. It was cloudy and 50 degrees....we froze! But this week it is back to sunny skies and 70's thank goodness.

We saw pig races.

The kids playing games at the water pumps.

Ben's favorite...the corn maze. There were 3 different ones. Hard ones...I got lost.

Tunnels to crawl through.

Ben shot corn cobs.

Madi played and made corn angels in the corn pit.

And out of the whole pumpkin patch my kids found and liked a green one?

Cousins & Crafts

This past weekend my sister-in-law and the girls came for a visit. A few weekends ago we did meet in the middle of our two towns at a Burger King so the kids could be together and stayed for 3 hours. When it was time to leave the kids cried. Every week my kids BEG to get together with their cousins. So this was such a treat for all the kids to be able to play and Alicia and I had a great time making some beautiful crafts. We made the younger girls matching/opposite dresses/shirts. Bows to match and some for Halloween too.

A few weeks ago I found these Camp Rock nightgowns on sale. I bought two so Madi and Haley could have matching ones when they were together...just makes it extra fun.

Ben is 9!

I can't believe my Ben is nine! We had a family party with the beloved cousins, aunts and uncles and Steve's mom came yet again from Savannah. Ben didn't want a regular cake so I made a Rice Krispie one.

Here are the kids playing school in Madi's room. Ms. Deedee is the teacher. Ms. Deedee had to send Ben to the Principles office...at least they were all having fun.

There was a slumber party too! Everyone tried to read to settle down. It was a fun fun celebration for Ben.

cousins cousins cousins

My kids so LOVE their cousins! That is their favorite thing to do ever! Today we went down to Macon to celebrate Hailey's 5th birthday. In the above picture you can see Steve and Teresa/Nana helping Madi after she just put her skates on. The skating rink party was a hit!

Here are the girls....Deedee, Hailey and Madi.

The little girls skated non-stop! I bet roller skates will be on Madi's Christmas list tomorrow.

Here are Ben and 'Heartthrob' Hunter. Ben played some game and won 400 tickets. Hunter is 14 (the oldest cousin) and always takes Ben under his wing and shows him a good time. Madi...she wants to marry Hunter :)

After the party Steve's mom insisted on watching ALL the kids, so Steve and I could go out and about by ourselves....Thank you Teresa! Chad had to go to work, Alicia had a work party, so Steve and I went to dinner at our favorite place Applebee's. Then we thought we might do a little Christmas shopping for the kids, but first we ended up at the mall....Steve's favorite Georgia store is there. To walk into the mall we had to go through Dillard's...they were closing and everything in the store was 50% to 75% off or more! Look at what I got...the most soft VERA WANG pj's....awww.
